Comments:

I didn't stay in North Dakota very long following graduation. I went to school at UND for a year then returned to Bismarck. I just couldn't seem to decide what career path I wanted to follow. It took me a while but finally settled on nursing. After graduating from Montana State I worked at the Mayo Clinic. That was a great experience. From there I moved back to Missoula where my family had moved to after Bismarck. I lived there for a while until I felt the pull to explore a new place. I did some travel nursing in Seattle, WA; Farmington, NM; and Medford, Oregon. I returned to Missoula again and met the man I would eventually marry. I married just 5 years ago - we both work in healthcare. After so many years as an ICU nurse in trauma centers I was ready for a bit slower pace. My husband and I moved to a small town in central Washington where I went to work as House Director for a small hospital. I was still working rotating nights and I was much too old for that. I made the switch to administrative work. I am currently the practice administrator for several large clinics in the Kadlec Health System Network. It is a large system in southcentral Washington. We are trying to sell our house now and move to the tri-cities. I couldn't have picked a worse time to put my house on the market. Ah well - all things in time. I finished my MBA this year in Healthcare Administration and love my work.

School Story:

I remember driving to school in my old 1969 Ford Galaxy 500 and parking a few blocks off campus - walking the two blocks to school and freezing in the winter time. I remember VICA class and Mr. Baker's biology class.
